Situato a Zao Onsen, a 1,3 km dalla località sciistica di Zao Onsen, il Takasagoya Ryokan offre sistemazioni con accesso diretto alle piste sciistiche e un parcheggio privato gratuito. The staff was very kind, as expected from a family owned ryokan. The bath area is small, but you schedule your personal bath time. Food is incredible, a must try when visiting Zao. Location is near the main attractions, like the cable car is reachable by walking. Lots of nearby onsens.

Boasting natural hot spring baths, Hohoemino Kuyufu Tsuruya is located a 15-minute walk from JR Tendo Station, 50 km from Sendai. it is very new, and cozy. Great location and staff is very good.

Featuring free property-wide WiFi, a spa centre and a seasonal outdoor pool, Matsushima Ichinobo offers accommodation in Matsushima. The room (I had the basic level option) was gigantic for Japan, with a huge picture window and a view to die for. To say I was blown away upon arrival would be an understatement. The hotel is spacious and uncrowded. I suspect it caters almost exclusively to the Japanese market so some instructions were on rather informal notes, or simply only in Japanese. The rate is breakfast and dinner included but also includes unlimited alcohol from 7pm and coffee/tea/refreshments all day with an icecream bar in the late morning and afternoon. The silence and sleep quality was superb as was the bathroom with shower.

Tagoto features a hot public bath, Japanese-style and Western rooms and Japanese cuisine, a 5-minute drive from Aizu Wakamatsu Station. Lovely building and interior. Comfortable, peaceful and welcoming. Easy walk from the station and a short stroll from town. Half board dining was exceptional. Excellent hosts.

Situato a 10 minuti a piedi dall'impianto di risalita della funivia Zao Sky, il Miyamaso Takamiya offre 9 bagni termali naturali. Stunning historical ryokan with a number of historic and new onsens. The rooms are renovated in a gorgeous traditional Japanese style and the meal was exceptional. The chef kindly catered for my allergy as I advised in advance. Staying at this ryokan was an exceptional experience and I would highly recommend it to anyone staying in Zao Onsen.

Located a 7-minute walk from Gosho Lake, Shikitei Morioka TsunagiOnsen offers free WiFi and indoor/outdoor hot spring baths. JR Morioka Train Station is a 25-minute drive from the property. It is a very convenient that there’s indoor spring pool. The food was very good, we stayed 2 nights, and they changed the menu. I even think they upgraded. I love traditional spring hotel. The service is person to person feel very warm.

Situato proprio di fronte alla Baia di Matsushima, il Komatsukan Kofu-tei offre sistemazioni con connessione internet via cavo gratuita. Very nice view and staff. The arrangement of after check-in service brings a wonderful experience.

Located in Kitakami, 42 km from Chuson-ji Temple, Yasuragino Yado -Iyashino Yu- provides accommodation with free WiFi and free private parking. I didn't take the breakfast, so I can't comment on it. Location was good for me since I wanted to walk everyday.
